Hi,
I would like to ask does a boutique hotel in Malaysia need a license to operate a small gym and which license is it?
Also, does the hotel need to pay copyright music or royalty to play any song for the gym?

Hi Allyson,
An in-house gym do not need to obtain license. If you are an outsourced vendor, you will need to obtain license such as Premise and Signboard license.
The hotel will need to apply a license under Music Rights Malaysia Berhad (MRM) to play music in the business premise.
